Our Toddler Room

Toddler Care in Cumbria

Our Toddler room is registered for 15 children and caters for toddlers from the age of 2 years up to 3 years old, the room is set in the main building and the children have free-flow access to an outdoor verandah and to the back garden.

At the age of two children are now very inquisitive and have a thirst for knowledge and learning, in the nursery we encourage this through the use of open ended play opportunities.

The room provides, sand, water, paint and craft activities on a daily basis where the children decide where they would like to play and explore, in addition construction and imaginative play is catered for through a well furbished role play area and building and small world area.

Children are now showing an interest in letters and numbers so we provide a well-stocked mark making and math's area along with an ICT area where toddlers have access to a computer.

The room also provides a lovely book and cosy area where your child can sneak off and read a book on the sofa or hide away in the sensory den with the cushions.

Staff coordinate regular circle time activities which encourages singing, language development and the sharing of experiences from home and in the nursery.
